Who We Are
Man in Hat Records is an independent label built around original music, artist identity, and work that feels real.
We support artists who value authenticity, creative independence, and music that is not shaped to fit a formula. Our focus is simple: let the music lead, keep the artist at the center, and create work that stands on its own.
What We Stand For
Music First
The music should lead every decision. Trends change, but strong songs, honest performances, and distinctive sound have lasting value.
Artist Identity
We support artists in developing work that sounds and feels like them, not work shaped to fit a predetermined formula.
Creative Independence
Originality matters. We believe meaningful music comes from taking risks, staying open to growth, and resisting the pressure to simply follow what is expected.
